ANZAC Eve Concert Brisbane

The ANZAC Eve Concert 2012 was a joint collaboration between the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the RSL (Queensland Branch).  This was a free public concert for the people of Queensland that both celebrated and commemorated the sacrifice that Australian men and women made serving their country in the armed forces, many of whom paid the supreme sacrifice.

Designed and produced by Patrick Pickett this multi-genre concert combined the forces of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Army Band Brisbane, the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums along Brisbane Choral and Queensland Choirs and a selection of young and emerging artists from Queensland in a “tour de force“.  This spectacular  program was a selection of music that stirs the heart and takes the audience on an emotion packed journey that brings joy, deep reflection and triumph.

Principal VIP and Guest of Honour Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC, Governor of Queensland; Patron, Queensland Symphony Orchestra; Patron, Returned and Services League (Queensland Branch) Youth Development  Program  delivered the evening address.
